This house was the perfect escape for our family
This house was the perfect escape for our family. We loved the having access to the river in the backyard, the views from both decks, being surrounded by redwood trees, and everything else about this wonderful property.

If you’re looking for a place near the Russian river, this is for you. We had a great time at the river house. Plenty of room for our family to spread out but also be together. Water access is everything we needed for little kids. We were in town visiting family in Santa Rosa, but decided to stay here for a mini vacation as well and it was perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the river
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the river. The home is spacious, well appointed and the outdoor decks are incredible. The back deck is sunny, warm and over looks the river where we spotted ospreys, herons and a bald eagle! The front deck is under the redwoods and provides a cool, quiet, and very comfortable place to relax. There are big tables inside and out to enjoy al fresco dining. We spoke with Jordon who was very helpful and responsive when needed. We happily would return to this treasure of a home.

The Home
This riverfront home sits just above the riverbank, offering a Sonoma County experience among towering redwoods and the gentle sound of flowing water. Inside, warm wood finishes and simple, thoughtful details create a welcoming atmosphere.
The main floor has a living room with a wood-burning stove and fireplace, perfect for relaxing or enjoying quiet evenings. The kitchen opens to a sunny dining area, ideal for meals with family or friends, and a small study overlooks the river, offering a quiet spot to work or read.
Upstairs, each bedroom has its own character and comfort. One features a queen bed and a private balcony with river views, while the other bedroom is more of an open loft with a queen bed, sweeping vistas, and a dedicated workspace (please note that the loft area is open with not door). The main floor bedroom also offers a queen bed, easy access to the living areas, and a smart TV for entertainment.
Outside, the home seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. Expansive decks and terraced patios invite you to lounge, grill, dine alfresco, or simply enjoy the scenery. Multiple seating areas tucked throughout the grounds provide quiet spots for reflection, conversation, or an evening stargazing under the night sky.
The terraced path leading down to the river allows for easy access to swimming, kayaking, or simply enjoying the water’s edge. The home also features flexible storage and bonus spaces beneath, perfect for stashing gear, toys, or anything you might need during your stay.
Every corner of the house and grounds is designed to encourage both shared moments and private reflection, creating a true riverfront retreat where guests can feel fully at ease and connected to the natural beauty surrounding them.
Please note: During the cold season, the house can get a bit chilly. While the main living area has a ductless heating system, and wood stover, and fireplace, the bedrooms and upstairs area can get a bit chilling. We provide extra space heaters and throw blankets to keep you feeling comfortable and cozy. After all, this is a rustic river cabin.
