Pool Use Policy

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS POOL USE POLICY, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED AND DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THE POOL.

Book Our Place is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Some of our properties feature pools for your recreational use during your stay. However, it's important to understand that swimming pool use inherently carries certain risks. By choosing to use the pool at any of our properties, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk

You understand and acknowledge that using the pool involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:  

• Drowning, slips, trips, and falls
• Collisions with other swimmers or objects
• Injuries from diving or jumping
• Malfunctioning pool equipment
• Exposure to harmful chemicals or bacteria
• Illness or injury due to pre-existing health conditions

This list is not exhaustive, and other unforeseen risks may exist. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using the pool, whether known or unknown. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of any minors under your supervision while using the pool.

2. Release of Liability

You hereby release and forever discharge the property owners, Book Our Place (the property management company), and their respective employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death that may occur while using the pool, regardless of whether such loss, damage, injury, or death is caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

3. Hold Harmless and Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the pool, or the use of the pool by any person under your supervision, regardless of the cause.  

4. Rules and Regulations

You agree to abide by all posted pool rules and regulations, as well as any instructions given by the property owners or Book Our Place. These rules are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. While specific rules may vary by property and will be listed in the house manual and/or posted near the pool, general guidelines include:

• No Lifeguard on Duty: Swim at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.
• Adult Supervision: Children and individuals who are not strong swimmers must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• No Diving: Diving is strictly prohibited. The pool is not designed for diving and may result in serious injury.
• No Running: Running on the pool deck is prohibited due to the risk of slips and falls.
• No Horseplay: Avoid roughhousing and boisterous play around the pool.
• No Glass Containers: Broken glass poses a serious safety hazard in the pool area. Please use plastic or metal containers.
• Shower Before Entering: Help maintain water quality by showering before entering the pool to remove lotions, oils, and dirt.
• No Pets: Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
• No Food or Drink in the Pool: Please consume food and drinks outside the pool area to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene.
• Proper Attire: Appropriate swimwear is required. Street clothes and shoes are not permitted in the pool.
• Pool Cover: When not in use, ensure the pool cover is properly secured to prevent accidental falls and maintain water quality. Never allow children on or around the pool cover unsupervised.
• Emergency Equipment: Safety equipment, such as life rings and reaching poles, are for emergency use only.
• Chemicals and Water Quality: The pool water is chemically treated. Avoid swallowing pool water and shower after swimming. Report any concerns about water quality or irritation to Book Our Place.
• Maximum Occupancy: Observe any posted limits on the number of people allowed in the pool at one time.
• Respectful Noise Levels: Keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during designated quiet hours.

5. Guest Responsibilities

• Ensure all individuals under your supervision are aware of and comply with the pool rules.
• Provide constant supervision for minors and weak swimmers.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to Book Our Place immediately.
• Use the pool and its facilities responsibly and with consideration for other guests.

By using the pool, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Pool Use Policy.
