Hot Tub/Spa Use Policy

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS HOT TUB/SPA USE POLICY, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED AND DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THE HOT TUB/SPA.

Book Our Place is committed to providing a safe and relaxing experience for all guests. Some of our properties feature hot tubs or spas for your enjoyment during your stay. However, it's important to understand that hot tub/spa use carries unique risks. By choosing to use the hot tub/spa at any of our properties, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Health and Safety

• Consult Your Doctor: If you have any health concerns, are pregnant, or have a heart condition, consult your doctor before using the hot tub/spa.
• Hydration: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after using the hot tub/spa to avoid dehydration.
• Time Limits: Limit your soak to 15-20 minutes at a time. Overexposure can lead to overheating and discomfort.
• Water Temperature: Avoid excessively hot water, especially for children and pregnant women.
• Alcohol and Medications: Avoid consuming alcohol or taking medications that may cause drowsiness or impair your judgment while using the hot tub/spa.
• Supervision: Never leave children unattended in or around the hot tub/spa.

2. Assumption of Risk

You understand and acknowledge that using the hot tub/spa involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Burns, slips, trips, and falls
• Drowning or fainting
• Allergic reactions to chemicals
• Aggravation of pre-existing health conditions

This list is not exhaustive, and other unforeseen risks may exist. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using the hot tub/spa, whether known or unknown. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of any minors under your supervision.

3. Release of Liability

You hereby release and forever discharge the property owners, Book Our Place (the property management company), and their respective employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death that may occur while using the hot tub/spa, regardless of the cause.

4. Hold Harmless and Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the hot tub/spa, or the use of the hot tub/spa by any person under your supervision, regardless of the cause.  

5. Rules and Regulations

You agree to abide by all posted hot tub/spa rules and regulations, as well as any instructions given by the property owners or Book Our Place. These rules are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. While specific rules may vary by property and will be listed in the house manual and/or posted near the hot tub/spa, general guidelines include:

• No Lifeguard on Duty: Use the hot tub/spa at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.
• Adult Supervision: Children and individuals with health concerns must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• No Diving or Jumping: The hot tub/spa is not designed for diving or jumping.
• No Running or Horseplay: Avoid running or boisterous play around the hot tub/spa due to the risk of slips and falls.
• No Glass Containers: Broken glass poses a serious safety hazard in the hot tub/spa area. Please use plastic or metal containers.
• Shower Before Entering: Help maintain water quality by showering before entering the hot tub/spa to remove lotions, oils, and dirt.
• No Pets: Pets are not allowed in the hot tub/spa.
• No Food or Drink in the Hot Tub/Spa: Please consume food and drinks outside the hot tub/spa area to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene.
• Proper Attire: Appropriate swimwear is required. Street clothes and shoes are not permitted in the hot tub/spa.
• Hot Tub/Spa Cover: When not in use, ensure the cover is properly secured to prevent accidental falls, maintain water temperature, and conserve energy. Never allow children on or around the hot tub/spa cover unsupervised.
• Chemicals and Water Quality: The hot tub/spa water is chemically treated. Avoid swallowing the water and shower after use. Report any concerns about water quality or irritation to Book Our Place.
• Maximum Occupancy: Observe any posted limits on the number of people allowed in the hot tub/spa at one time.
• Respectful Noise Levels: Keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during designated quiet hours.

6. Guest Responsibilities

• Ensure all individuals under your supervision are aware of and comply with the hot tub/spa rules.
• Provide constant supervision for minors and those with health concerns.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to Book Our Place immediately.
• Use the hot tub/spa and its facilities responsibly and with consideration for other guests.

By using the hot tub/spa, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Hot Tub/Spa Use Policy.
